TITLE: Network Support Specialist 2-1
LOCATION: Trinity, Texas
+ Works on NSS related projects, work flow and upgrade work
+ Primary function of role is to respond to issues and error conditions in the customers' networks and systems (NSS items);
+ Analyzes, designs, implements solutions to any issues related to NSS systems and occasionally other NCR software
+ Responsibilities for this position include monitoring customer?s networks and systems for indications of trouble, reacting to all electronic alerts and customer reports of trouble, generating or verifying the generation of an incident for all problems detected or reported
+ Performing initial diagnosis and trouble isolation; Proactively notifying customers of all problems within SLA guidelines;
+ Isolates standard problems; Presents and gains agreement for problem isolation, solution creation and implementation plans
+ Initiate dispatch of NCR Customer Engineer?s or third party maintenance providers when required; Provide parts management/coordination when required
+ Documenting all actions taken to resolve incidents in ticket tracking; Ensuring the correct and timely closure and completion of all incidents in the ticketing tool.
+ Installation and coordination of the installation of NSS hardware and services, including but not limited to firewalls, switches, Landesk products, Secure Access, Command Center and wireless access points.
+ Occasional need to examine back of house servers and front of house terminals to help troubleshoot the issues the customer is reporting with their network and services.
+ Maintain connection and observation of the NSS chat room and ticket queue.
+ Work environment requires rotation in work hours, weekend or holiday hours, and/or extended hours (On-Call), as needed, to accommodate 24/7 operations; Position involves prolonged periods of PC and telephone usage
+ Good customer service skills; prior call center experience a plus
+ Understanding of networking and network concepts such as IP addressing, subnetting, ports and protocols, Ethernet cabling, routers, switches, and firewalls
+ Experience installing and configuring network routers and firewalls a plus
+ Experience installing and configuring security software, such as anti-virus, a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
